The Best Tarot Podcasts
Podcasts are incredibly popular nowadays. The ability to be heard has never been so accessible; anyone can become podcast star with little more than a mobile phone and an internet connection.
As a podcaster this accessibility is very welcome. However, as a listener it can be difficult to know where to begin and a challenge to find the gems amongst the sea of mediocrity.
Here, we present a collection of our favourite podcasts. We consider these to be well presented, well produced, contain practical content and above all – useful to those studying tarot.
This is also a living list; if you feel we’ve missed one please let us know in the comments.
The Alacrael Tarot

A new tarot podcast which shows great promise. Open minded, well presented and containing some great content.
“The Alacrael Tarot Podcast is your source for learning all 78 cards in the deck, deepening your knowledge and understanding of underlying symbolism within Tarot, and developing your personal intuition and skills as a reader. Whether you are new to Tarot or have been reading for years, you’re sure to find something of interest here!”
Life, Death and Tarot
http://americanthanatologist.com/ldt
Whenever tarot podcasts are discussed, this is one show which is almost always mentioned. Life, Death and Tarot covers so much more than just tarot but in doing so provides a well rounded approach to both tarot and spirituality in general.
“There is no magic in a tarot card, but the insights and conversations sparked by a tarot reading are often nothing short of magical. Join me, Cole Imperi, each week for episodes in two formats: interview-style episodes which take place over a tarot reading and Mortisodes: episodes which explore concepts related to the field of thanatology.”
Tarotpodden (Swedish Language)
https://poddtoppen.se/podcast/1477699473/tarotpodden
I don’t speak the language but I see this podcast mentioned in multiple places with high recommendations. Definitely one for the Swedish speakers!
“Tarotpodden är podden för dig som älskar tarotkort, medialitet och andlighet. Du får här verktyg för att lägga och tolka tarotkorten intuitivt. Här hittar du också intressanta gäster!”
Tea Time Tarot
https://open.spotify.com/show/5l22FRWCDSR6dthdEH6cC2
Another new tarot podcast with a very down to earth, enjoyable discussion format. Definitely one to follow!
“Grab your favorite cuppa something, maybe a blanket too, and join Hiro for some tarot talk, and maybe some Tea that’s been brewing. A great podcast for beginners and experienced readers alike. Anything and everything tarot is likely to come up, so come join in the conversation today.”
The Hermit’s Cave (Guided tarot meditations)
https://open.spotify.com/show/44S3n3PhwJY9Y56D9xNeIs
This is not a podcast in the traditional sense but a series of guided meditations based on each card. Highly recommended!
“The Hermit’s Cave is your portal into deeper spiritual awakening. Enjoy weekly guided meditations and journal prompts spontaneously channeled by your host, Meaghan O’Herron, a highly trained Integrative Coach, Energy Healer, Yoga teacher, and Witch. Each meditation is rooted in the timeless and universal lessons of a Tarot card.”
Root Lock Radio
http://www.rootlocktarot.com/podcast
Another podcast which is always mentioned when podcasts are discussed. Great production and content on a variety of tarot related subjects.
“ROOT LOCK RADIO is designed to be a course in tarot for beginners and tarot experts alike. By focusing on the systems of archetypes, symbols, elemental energies, and numbers that lie beneath the tarot, the podcast will help you to understand the tarot cards on a deeper level and in a more flexible way. Whether or not you believe in mysticism, my hope is that the Root Lock Radio podcast will reveal how the wisdom woven into the tarot cards can help us all to lead more mindful, balanced and fulfilling lives. Thanks for listening!”
Biddy Tarot
https://www.biddytarot.com/category/podcast/
Regardless of how you feel about the Biddy Tarot service, her podcast is definitely worth checking out. There’s a mix of down to earth, practical discussion around card meanings but also content suggesting newcomers should throw the books away and ‘just read intuitively’. I disagree with this approach as the newcomer will resort to image interpretation (dependent on the deck used) or worse, feel like there’s an impossible learning curve ahead; Neither result is helpful. However, the podcast, like everything Biddy is well produced and does contain some great content.
“The Biddy Tarot Podcast reveals how you can connect deeply with your intuition and live an empowered and enlightened life, with the Tarot cards as your guide. The show is perfect for Tarot beginners, aspiring Tarot readers and experienced Tarot professionals who want to read Tarot with confidence.”
Steve is a British esotericist and pagan musician with a profound affinity for the natural world, particularly the serene and mystic woodlands of his homeland. Steve’s particular passion lies within the realms of tarot, where he delves into the underlying systems and symbols that weave the rich narrative tapestry of this ancient divinatory tool. His life’s work embodies a blend of music, magic, and the deep reverence for nature, making him a distinct voice within the esoteric community.
With over 4 Million downloads, this list would not be complete without mentioning Tarot for The Wild Soul by Lindsay Mack.
